Our Program

Thoreau High School is proud to be a forerunner in implementing a fully online and blended learning educational model within LAUSD Continuation schools. Through this ongoing partnership with digital learning providers such as Edgenuity, Thoreau High School has joined a nationwide movement to improve academic success and student outcomes by utilizing 21st century learning solutions. 

Thoreau High School's blended and online learning model integrates digital content and instruction with individualized classroom tutoring. Students learn partially online, with some element of control over their time, place, path, and/or pace, and receive supplemental tutoring in a personalized classroom learning environment.
