Thoreau High School community, compromised of all stakeholders, staff, students, and parents, strives to ensure a learning environment that facilitates success. Our young men and women will be provided with a safe academic environment that promotes not only scholastic excellence, but respect, trust, and compassion.

Mission

Thoreau High School endeavors to provide a cooperative educational setting where all students receive rigorous, personalized instruction, support, and the necessary skills needed to be successful in higher education or career workplace. We maintain that every individual is an integral member of a larger community and offer a variety of instructional techniques so students can attain academic success and achieve beyond what they believe is possible.
